Calgary Landscape Photography

Free Desktop Wallpaper for October 2010

This months background wallpaper image comes from Carburn Park in Calgary. The trees in the Calgary area are at the peak of the fall colors right now and they are very beautiful. I’ve been spending lots of time at the park lately doing family and children’s portraits so I’ve had plenty of time to watch in awe as the colors have changed. The ponds at the park have been completely still every morning and I’ve wanted to capture it for awhile. I finally had a chance to create a beautiful landscape image that I hope you'll enjoy as much as I do! Please let me know if there are any other formats or sizes you would like to see. Download To install the images as your desktop background, simply click on the link below depending on the file resolution you would like to use, then right-click on the larger image and select “Set as Desktop Background...”. Enjoy.

Slideshow – Trash the Dress at 10,000 Feet

A Fusion video slideshow of photography and video from an adventurous Trash-the-Dress wedding photoshoot at the top of Cirque Peak in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The hike to Helen Lake is 16km (10 miles) up to the summit at 10,000 feet. It was a wonderful day in the mountains and the photoshoot was incredible.

Vacation Delays

I just wanted to post a quick update to say that any response to inquiries or to orders posted between now and August 9th may be delayed. I will try to get to them ASAP; however, I will be in and out of town a couple of times and won't have internet access for most of it... Thanks for your understanding! Cheers, Sean PS - The image above is of Hoodoos in the Badlands at Writing on Stone Provincial Park in South Eastern Alberta. We went camping there for a few days and I really enjoyed roaming through the badlands under the light of the full moon. The place is very beautiful day and night, and it's a wonderful place to go camping. I highly recommend it!

Free Desktop Wallpaper for May 2010

As a little bonus offer to my friends and followers I have decided to start offering some free images for use as your computer wallpaper each month. Each beautiful image will be a picture I've recently created and will include a calendar overlay for that month. I know that I'm always looking for a calendar and having one on my desktop is very convenient! I made this image while wandering through downtown Calgary a couple of weeks ago and it shows off the beauty of the mirrored reflections of the setting sun on the side of one of the highrise buildings. I've been spending a lot of time downtown lately and I've been trying to take my camera with me as often as I can. I really haven't been down there very often prior to the last month so many of the sights and sounds were new for me. I'm constantly amazed by the hustle and bustle of the people around me, and in particular by the amount of construction going on. One good part of going downtown a lot is that I've found several great locations (both inside and out) that would be fantastic for quick portrait sessions! Download To install the images as your desktop background, simply click on the link below depending on the file resolution you would like to use, then right-click on the larger image and select “Set as Desktop Background...”. Enjoy.
