Product Showcase – Valentines Cards

Custom Designed Photo Greeting Cards I've had a couple of inquiries recently from clients wishing to have custom cards made for Valentines Day. Although I have several beautiful templates available for Valentines Day I've never actually advertised them before. So this is just a quick post to show off a few of the designs that I have available. All of these designs are completely customizable; I can quickly change the colors, the fonts, and of course the text. Alternatively if you have a specific idea for a card that you would like to send out I can probably help you with that too. These great cards are a wonderful way to show off your images from a recent Baby or Children's photography session, or even for Family or Engagement photos. Note that I also have card designs available for all of the major holidays (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.), as well as for those special days in our lives like Birth Announcements and Birthdays. If you'd like to see some other greeting card designs for a particular event please let me know and I'll do what I can to help you out. One last thing... Timing is getting pretty tight for delivery in time for Valentines Day. I can still get them done for you if you get your order in by Tuesday, February 8th. Growing Together Gala Dinner

Here's one from the archives... Way back in the spring I covered a small private event to celebrate the award winners of a corporate video contest. The winners were very excited by their success and they got to together to celebrate in style! Although it was relatively small in terms of the number of people involved, it was a Gala Dinner by almost any description and the went to great lengths to put it together! I love doing event photography and covering parties and small events like this one is lots of fun. This one was better than most because of the small size and the intimacy and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one from this great group. Images in Use: Mako Water Polo Club Poster

A number of sports images that I recently created for the Calgary Mako Water Polo Club have been used for a poster that the club will be using to advertise for prospective new players. It's always fun and exciting to see how people use photography in different ways... This poster should be posted in public areas, pools, and recreation facilities in South East Calgary. Masquerade Ball & Charity Auction

I recently had an opportunity to provide event photography coverage at a very cool event in downtown Calgary (at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel). The event was a Masquerade Ball and a Charity Auction that was hosted by Financial Management Brokerage of Calgary. The party included both a silent auction and a live auction to raise money in support of the Alberta Children's Hospital. It was a first class event and I got to mix and mingle with the guests and create both posed and candid portraits of the attendees, and also to capture the spirit of the event. There were a great many auction items available for sale, including dozens of beautiful Masquerade masks, so I was sure to create images of many of the best masks. There were so many on display that I know I didn't even see them all, never mind actually photograph all of them! Many of the party-goers were dressed in beautiful ball gowns and fancy suites, and most had their own masks as well. I tried to create images of as many of them as possible as well. The event was a smashing success and the auctions raised a lot of money for the Children's hospital. It was truly an honor to be able to participate at such an event!
