Hot Off the Presses: Pawsitive Dawgs Charity Calendar

I was honored to be one of the photographers asked to create pet portraits for the annual Pawsitive Dawgs Training (aka PDawgs) calendar this year. This is a charity calendar that will raise money for Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation. Pawsitive Match is a pet rescue organization that helps to match pets that need a new home with a perfectly matched owner. All of the profits from the sale of this years calendar will go to Pawsitive Match to help them do the things they do. The Calendar looks amazing and I am so happy to have been involved! I have a few copies of the calendar available for sale for $10 each. These will make great Christmas Presents, so please let me know how many you need. If you have an opportunity where you think you might be able to sell a few of them please let me know that too. Here are a few spreads out of the calendar that include images that I created:

Derksen Potter Engagement Sessions

I had a beautiful engagement session with Charity and Bruce (and their dog Lola) at the Ranche recently. They are such a beautiful couple and the Ranche is one of my favorite places for photography. The place has so much going on that there ends up being a really wide variety of stuff to use as a backdrop for portraits. My two favorites are the walls of the red barn and the long grasses in the nearby fields. Charity and Bruce were both great sports and they were willing to try anything I asked for, which always makes my job easier! It was great to be able to spend a few minutes with the couple in a more relaxed setting before their upcoming wedding. Even though this event will be relatively small, weddings are always pressure packed and it's much nicer to get to know each other in a different atmosphere before the wedding. Thanks to Charity and Bruce for including me in their big day! I'm really looking forward to it!

Dog Day Wall Panel

I just finished putting together a Wall Panel for one of the clients that participated in our recent Dog Day promotion and I thought I would share it here. These beautiful Papillon's are very cute and they were pretty easy to work with. I love the sparkle in their eyes!

This months background wallpaper image comes from a recent charity Pet Portrait event. This cute dog is a French Bulldog and we had lots of fun together! I love photographing dogs with character and I'm always excited when that character comes screaming through in the resulting images. I can't believe how long this dog's tongue is! Dog Day Images have been Posted

Thanks again to everyone who participated in our Dog Day Event at Pawsitively Natural last Saturday! The day was a huge success and the image proofs are now available in the client area. Note that these images are proofs. They have all been minimally retouched to ensure a decent exposure and to clean up the worst of the dirt and mess on the floor. Every image selected will be reviewed and cleaned up further. If you want any specific changes or cropping please be sure to make a note of it when ordering. View the Photo Galleries in the Client Area of the Website. Note also that while I tried to create a selection of images of each pet (sitting, standing, lying, head only, full body, etc.), in some cases we had only limited cooperation from the dogs involved and there may not be a full range of poses to choose from. Having said that there are good images of every dog (or family) and I'm positive that you will find something you like! A few of my favorite images from the session can be found at the end of this post, and all of the processed images are available for viewing in the client area.
