An image from the YYCisOpen Campaign in the Calgary Herald

YYCisOpen

I recently had an opportunity to travel out to Canmore to work with local businesses and representatives from Calgary Economic Development and YYCisOpen.com. The YYC is Open advertising campaign has expanded to include the surrounding region and I was in Canmore to photograph a large group of business people as well as a couple of the individual store owners for use in the campaign. Images will be used in print ads and on electronic billboards all around the city and region.

YYC is OPEN is provided by The Calgary Business Recovery Task Force alongside grassroots, volunteer groups committed to supporting flood affected businesses. For more information, please contact Calgary Economic Development at: info@calgaryeconomicdevelopment.com.

Support Flood Affected local Business

The YYC is Open campaign was started following the floods in Southern Alberta to help local businesses that were directly and indirectly affected by the flood. The key tenet of the campaign is that our local businesses will only survive if we support them, and the best way to do that is to utilize their services. On purpose.

Businesses in Calgary and Southern Alberta affected by the flood need us to do what we do best: eat, drink, shop & spend! Rediscover our region!

So please head down to one of the flood affected areas and support the local business and shopkeepers you find there. Eat. Drink. Shop.
