PDawgs Portrait Session

Lori-Ann is the owner of Pawsitive Dawgs Training & Pet Services and she needed some updated images of her dog Murphy for use on her website and in her marketing materials. She has a beautiful old car that has been perfectly restored and decorated with her logo on the windows. She wanted to include the car in some of the images with Murphy in or on the car, and with the Calgary skyline in the background. I suggested that we met at Rotary Park (in Northeast Calgary) because it has easy access to some great views of the city and also a beautiful green space that we could use for the portraits. It was a beautiful day and we got some great photos! About PDawgs: Pawsitive Dawgs will challenge your thinking and what you’ve learned about dog training in the past. We offer a 'no fluff, no nonsense' training method that will help you create a true bond of mutual trust and respect between you and your dog, all without using treats or other masking tools such as prong or choke collars. We may just have a little fun along the way too! Read More...

Headquarters Bookkeeping & Tax | Better Business Portraits

I went into the offices of a Calgary based Headquarters Bookkeeping & Tax to create new headshots for each of their employees for use on their website. They have recently expanded into some extra office space and they had a great conference room that I could use to set up my portable studio equipment to do their portraits right in their workspace. I really enjoy working on-location and this was a perfect situation where I was able to make it easy for the employees to go about their business until I needed them... Headquarters provide consulting, bookkeeping, management, tax, and corporate registry services for small businesses in the Calgary area. They specialize in improving the financial health of trade professionals (construction, carpentry, or other contract services), but they also work with other small businesses to get their finances in order.

Calgary Headshots & Business Portraits

I had a session at a local business to create some headshots for use at an upcoming conference. The client will be presenting at the conference and he needed a Speakers Headshot for use in the conference handouts and other collateral materials. He was very busy in advance of the session and he needed a Calgary Photographer that could come to him in order to make his portrait instead of having to take the time to go into a studio somewhere. He was very happy to learn about our on-location photography services, and even happier that we were able to get the portrait done quickly and efficiently. The portable studio equipment that we use is very high quality and we can set it up just about anywhere. This is one of the advantages of choosing a custom portrait photographer... You get exactly what you want, where and when YOU need it. Is your business portrait up to date? If the image you're using doesn't really look like you anymore (or perhaps you're still using a picture of your dog or cat) then you should consider giving us a call!

REN Stampede Breakfast

This is an animated slideshow of photos and video created while doing some photography coverage of a Stampede Breakfast that I attended yesterday. The event was hosted by the Referral Exchange Network (REN**) in Calgary and was both a social event for the club members and a visitors day to try to introduce some new prospective members to the club. It was a really great event with lots of good food and beverages, some great musical entertainment, and plenty of laughs and conversations! Thanks to PM Gigs, Jones and Salt Insurance, and Apex Financial Consulting for sponsoring the event, and to the Groove Demonz for providing the tunes! **REN is a single profession business referral club that meets at lunch every Tuesday at the Carriage House Inn. The club is actively growing and always on the lookout for new members that have positive energy, are highly professional, and that are actively trying to grow their business. Please let me know if you're interested in learning more about the club?
