This months wallpaper image features an abstract image of the beautiful new pedestrian bridge over the Bow River in Calgary. Although officially known as the “Peace Bridgeâ€, this bridge has been anything but peaceful!
This months wallpaper image is from a recent family trip to Canmore. We had a lazy day in the mountains and decided to take the old Highway 1A home instead of the main route. The old highway is always a treasure trove of scenic viewpoints, beautiful birds, and plenty of animals.
Framed Fine Art Print I'm always proud and excited to see my work on display. These images are from my Fine Art Print Collection and they are two of my personal favorites. These images were both printed at 16x20 and mounted on foamcore. They were matted with a two-inch black mat and then framed in a very simple contemporary black frame. I personally prefer simple displays for my images, and I love these exactly as they are, but larger mats also work very well for wall portraits. A good framer can help recommend mat and frame options that would work best for a particular image. I do have a couple of custom frame options available through my partnership with Time Frames Custom Picture Framing, or you could contact Karen directly if you want to see some other choices.
This months background wallpaper image comes from The Ranche in Fish Creek Park in South East Calgary. I had a fall family portrait session scheduled at The Ranche so I arrived early to take advantage of the beautiful day! I had a great time exploring the area and made a bunch of detail images. The textures of the peeling paint on some of the fence boards and the walls of the barns are very cool. This particular image comes from the walls of a vibrant red barn on the site. This barn is very commonly used as a backdrop for portraits, but it's very beautiful on its own too! Please let me know if there are any other formats or sizes you would like to see. This months background wallpaper image comes from Carburn Park in Calgary. The trees in the Calgary area are at the peak of the fall colors right now and they are very beautiful. I’ve been spending lots of time at the park lately doing family and children’s portraits so I’ve had plenty of time to watch in awe as the colors have changed. The ponds at the park have been completely still every morning and I’ve wanted to capture it for awhile.
