Calgary Organizers meet Peter Walsh

I recently had the privilege to attend a private meeting between organizing expert Peter Walsh and the members of the POC Calgary (the Calgary chapter of Professional Organizers in Canada). Peter was in town for a speaking engagement at the Boyce Theater on the Calgary Stampede grounds (GetRealLive Presents PETER WALSH LIVE in CALGARY) and POC Calgary arranged for a private session with him before the main show.
Chinook Outriders Motorcycle Club Photoshoot Redux

Last weekend I got together with the Ladies of the Chinook Outriders Motorcycle Club (the Calgary chapter of the Women in the Wind) for another photoshoot. Long time readers may remember that I created individual and group portraits for the same club last summer. We got some great results last year and they wanted to do it all over again this year. It has been a tough thing to schedule, but we finally managed to pull it off this past weekend.
Last year the shoot was done at Fish Creek Park and the images all had trees with bright green leaves in the background. The images looked great but we wanted to do something a little different this year. We chose an industrial location and used the loading dock and red brick walls of the old Molson Brewery in Inglewood (more recently the West Key Storage building) as a backdrop. I really wanted to give them something striking and different and the industrial location helped with that. You will see from the following example images that I processed many of the images to really play up the grungy location that we used.

WRC Soccer Update

I’ve been getting a few calls and emails asking for an update on delivery of the pictures for WRC Soccer. All of the images have been delivered to the WillowRidge Community Center. As I understand it the U6 and U8 Pictures will be handed out at the Wind Up BBQ on June 22nd along with the medals and some food and fun.
U10 and U12 team managers can contact Francine at the Community Center (info@willowridge.ca or call 403-271-8044) to find out when and where to pick up their picture packages.
