Free Desktop Wallpaper for April 2011

This months background wallpaper image comes from a recent charity Pet Portrait event. This cute dog is a French Bulldog and we had lots of fun together! I love photographing dogs with character and I'm always excited when that character comes screaming through in the resulting images. I can't believe how long this dog's tongue is! Download To install the images as your desktop background, simply click on the link below depending on the file resolution you would like to use, then right-click on the larger image and select “Set as Desktop Background...”. Dog Day Images have been Posted

Thanks again to everyone who participated in our Dog Day Event at Pawsitively Natural last Saturday! The day was a huge success and the image proofs are now available in the client area. Note that these images are proofs. They have all been minimally retouched to ensure a decent exposure and to clean up the worst of the dirt and mess on the floor. Every image selected will be reviewed and cleaned up further. If you want any specific changes or cropping please be sure to make a note of it when ordering. View the Photo Galleries in the Client Area of the Website. Note also that while I tried to create a selection of images of each pet (sitting, standing, lying, head only, full body, etc.), in some cases we had only limited cooperation from the dogs involved and there may not be a full range of poses to choose from. Having said that there are good images of every dog (or family) and I'm positive that you will find something you like! A few of my favorite images from the session can be found at the end of this post, and all of the processed images are available for viewing in the client area. Pawsitively Natural Puppy Meetup

My friends at Pawsitively Natural Dog Daycare hosted the "North Calgary Puppy and Small Breed Doggie Play Group" for some indoor play time on Sunday, March 6th and I was invited to photograph the pets at play. It was quite chaotic with the large number of dogs and people all there at the same time, but the dogs had lots of fun. I tried create some great candid images of all of the dogs, and during some of the quieter moments I also had some of the owners help by posing their pet friends. It's always very challenging to try to create great images when it's so chaotic, but I managed to get some pictures that I'm very happy with. The dogs were all very cute, friendly, and happy, and I even had a couple that decided I made a pretty good chair! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
