Free Desktop Wallpaper for January 2011

This months background wallpaper image comes from a recent visit to the Calgary Zoo with my family. We love the zoo and we visit often! I've photographed most of the animals there so many times that I tend to try for more abstract images these days. This is obviously a portion of the head and shoulders of a zebra. I loved the golden light dancing across the back of the zebra and how it contrasted against the winter blue sky. Happy New Year to all my friends and family and my clients new and old. Thanks so much for all of your support over the past year in helping me grow my business. I look forward to spending quality time with all of you in the coming year! Free Desktop Wallpaper for December 2010

This months background wallpaper image comes from a recent photoshoot at Pawsitively Natural Dog Daycare. This cute little puppy dog was very sleepy and could barely keep his eyes open. Soon after I made this image he curled up in a ball against the wall and fell fast asleep. To see more images from this session please check the previously post entitled Pet Portraits at Pawsitively Natural. If you're interested in having some portraits made of your dog (or of you and your family with your pet) please consider joining us for a Pet Photography Session at River Park Off Leash Park on December 11th. Please let me know if there are any other formats or sizes you would like to see. A Recent Dog Photography Session

This will be just a quick post to share a few images from a recent pet photography session I had with a very cute dog. I love playing with and photographing dogs and this cutie was great at both. As soon as I arrived he ran right up to me and we started playing. When I was ready to make a few pictures he immediately settled down and did everything I asked. It makes my job so much easier when the subject does what I ask! Dogs and children are usually much more free-spirited, so this was a real treat for me. He did add his own personal flavor to the session though and I got a few very interesting images beyond the standard portraits that I was trying to make! I've got more pet photography sessions planned in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for related posts coming soon.

Free Desktop Wallpaper for November 2010

This months background wallpaper image comes from The Ranche in Fish Creek Park in South East Calgary. I had a fall family portrait session scheduled at The Ranche so I arrived early to take advantage of the beautiful day! I had a great time exploring the area and made a bunch of detail images. The textures of the peeling paint on some of the fence boards and the walls of the barns are very cool. This particular image comes from the walls of a vibrant red barn on the site. This barn is very commonly used as a backdrop for portraits, but it's very beautiful on its own too! Please let me know if there are any other formats or sizes you would like to see. Free Desktop Wallpaper for October 2010

This months background wallpaper image comes from Carburn Park in Calgary. The trees in the Calgary area are at the peak of the fall colors right now and they are very beautiful. I’ve been spending lots of time at the park lately doing family and children’s portraits so I’ve had plenty of time to watch in awe as the colors have changed. The ponds at the park have been completely still every morning and I’ve wanted to capture it for awhile. I finally had a chance to create a beautiful landscape image that I hope you'll enjoy as much as I do! Please let me know if there are any other formats or sizes you would like to see. Download To install the images as your desktop background, simply click on the link below depending on the file resolution you would like to use, then right-click on the larger image and select “Set as Desktop Background...”.
