As a little bonus for my friends and followers every month I provide a free image for use as your desktop background wallpaper on your computer. Each beautiful photo is a picture that I have created and it always includes a calendar overlay for the month. I know that I’m always looking for a calendar and having one on my desktop is very convenient!

I was thrilled to learn that the above image of an owl eating its lunch (which I created at the Calgary Zoo) was featured as a staff favorite by the good people over at Photoshelter and used in their annual Christmas mailing campaign.
Total Lunar Eclipse

Here is a sneak peek at a few images I created this morning during the total lunar eclipse. I got up bright and early and dragged my family out to Scotsman’s Hill (near the Ramsay community association) to watch the moon settle down over the Calgary skyline. It was a lovely morning and really nice to be able to see the full moon and the eclipse at sunrise instead of in the middle of the night. I tried that last year while in Ottawa at Christmas time and unfortunately it was completely clouded over and I never even saw the moon even though I stayed out well after 3 AM to try. This year’s lunar event was downright civilized by comparison!

This is a slideshow of images I made during my annual photoshoot with my buddies Mark, Eddy, Blake, and Chris to celebrate the end of Movember. We’ve been doing this for several years now and every year it gets better. We really stepped it up a notch this year and we had a great time! The boys rented tuxes and we took a trip into the city and got crazy.

Marissa recently came into my home studio for a Social Media Mini portrait session. She is the Director of Environmental Operations at AGAT Laboratories and needed a new headshot for use on the company website and her social media accounts.
